The clever design draws the eye to the details that encourage the viewer to take a second look. At first glance, we take in the complementing angles of the finial with the body, then notice the details: the attention grabbing tines of course, then the understated, vertical, raised dot detail on the body which compliments the tines and leads the eye up to the horizontal ridges of the finial’s lower section. Superb.
