Mojave pottery figures were created for the tourist trade after the railroads were built in the late 1800s. The ceramic statues were made in the Mojave’s self-image, adorned with glass beads and painted with bold patterns just as the Mojave’s decorated themselves. The Mojave American’s would have been memorable to see.
